Description
Linden trees bloom for just a few weeks in midsummer and the fragrance during that time is one of the most distinctive smells of a Lithuanian summer. The honey carries that with it. You can smell linden blossom the moment you open the jar. Nothing else in our range comes close to it aromatically.
The colour runs from pale yellow to light amber and it crystallises over time into something soft and creamy. The flavour is gentle and layered, with natural notes of mint and lemon balm and a subtle coolness at the finish that's hard to place until you've tasted it a few times. It's approachable in a way that more intense honeys aren't, but there's real complexity underneath.
Used across northern and eastern Europe for generations for sore throats, colds, restless nights and everyday wellbeing. Never heated, so everything that makes it useful is still in the jar when it reaches you.
The honey people tend to discover later and then wonder why they waited so long.
